SUMENEP, Madura Expose — A new wave of enthusiasm among Madura’s youth to express their digital talents is becoming a reality with the launch of the Esports Madura Championship 2025. This prestigious tournament serves as a strategic platform for the younger generation to develop their creativity and achieve success.

 

 

Held at the TP-PKK Office in Sumenep Regency on Sunday, September 7, 2025, the event was officially opened with great energy, bringing together hundreds of participants from various regions across Madura. A total of 324 participants took part, including 200 Mobile Legends players and 124 Free Fire players.

 

The event was attended by notable figures, including Sumenep Regent Dr. H. Achmad Fauzi Wongsojudo, SH, MH, Acting Regional Secretary Drs. Syahwan Efendy, Head of the Sumenep Education Office Agus Dwi Saputra, and Committee Chairman Choriyanto Sumodihardjo. The room was filled with the high spirits of the young participants.

 


 

Esports as a Global Creative Industry

 

In his opening speech, Regent Achmad Fauzi emphasized that esports is no longer merely a form of entertainment. He highlighted that it has evolved into a global creative industry with high economic value, offering extensive career opportunities for young people.

 

 

“We are proud of the spirit of the young people of Madura who are able to compete and showcase their talents in the digital field. Our hope is that through this event, new talents will emerge who can shine, even at the national level,” he stated optimistically.

 

 

The Regent also added that esports events serve as a space for character building. He stressed that “esports is now part of a continuously developing digital ecosystem, and tournaments like this prove that the youth of Madura have great potential to advance and grow.” He sees this championship as a reflection of the innovative spirit and achievements of Madura’s youth, paving a new path toward a brighter and more competitive future.


 

A Commitment to Building a Strong Esports Ecosystem

 

Committee Chairman Choriyanto Sumodihardjo expressed his commitment to making the Esports Madura Championship an annual agenda. According to him, the tournament is more than just a competition; it is a platform for fostering partnerships with various parties to advance the gaming and esports industry in Madura.

 

“We want to provide a space for young talents to grow and compete with good sportsmanship, while also supporting their potential careers in the world of esports,” said Choriyanto, who is also known as Rian.
